The Lease Accountant is responsible for all phases of the coordination and processing of New Lease set ups, Lease Renewals, Amendments, Initial Rents, Standard Monthly Charges, Real Estate Tax Billings and Close-outs including: analyzation, verification, preparation and review of all types of Lease generated activity, Rent and Utility billings to tenants along with Written responses to Tenant inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interpret, analyze and extract all financial lease information to ensure that applicable invoices are prepared in accordance with lease terms and that financial data and dates are entered correctly into the appropriate system
• Process lease cancellations, renewals, assignments, amendments, letter agreements holdovers, liquidated damage charges and options to renew
• Responsible for the preparation of utility invoices and back charges to tenants
• Prepare Real Estate Tax Year-End reconciliations and invoices for annual pay and semi-annual pay tenants
• Prepare and issue various reports to apprise management of the summarization of Real Estate Tax recoveries, current cost per square foot rates for the Leasing Department and GFLA schedules used to determine tenant shares
• Calculate the adjustments and prepare tenant account balances upon closing and cancellation
• Responsible for the preparation of all back charges to tenants and non-tenants including, construction, insurance claims and other miscellaneous items
• Responsible for uploading and indexing of all electronic imaging into our data storage system for the above items
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Knowledge in JD Edwards a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office required
• Good analytical and communication skills
