Tax Accountant

*RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Prepare and/or review federal, state, and local partnership and corporate tax returns * Collaborate and train accounting staff on various tax research topics and regulation changes * Control and organize the tax filing process as well as tax deadline management * Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations * Research and respond to any communications with tax regulatory bodies * Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures * Contribute to special projects as needed *SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:* * Bachelor's degree in Accounting * CPA certification is highly recommended * 3 or more years of federal, state, and local tax preparation * Experience supervising staff and reviewing tax returns are highly recommended * Pro-Series or equivalent tax software experience is a must * Knowledge in JD Edwards is a plus * Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
