Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applicants for a half-time, two semester Instructor in its History Department.
We are seeking an historian of Asian History to teach two courses per semester: one on modern Asian history, and another on either Japanese or Chinese history, as well as the world history survey.
All courses are delivered in-person.
Minimum Qualifications
ABD in History with a focus on Asian History (especially modern Japanese and/or Chinese history).
Commitment to the education of diverse populations.
Successful performance in an interview and teaching demonstration.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.
D.
in History, with a focus on Asian History (especially Japanese and/or Chinese history) during the Modern Era.
Previous college-level teaching experience preferred.
Ability and/or experience teaching online and a demonstrated track record of engaging students beyond the classroom.
