Duties: - Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and diving - Provide guidance and support to swimmers to help them improve their skills and reach their goals - Ensure the safety of all swimmers by enforcing pool rules and maintaining a safe swimming environment - Develop training programs and lesson plans based on the needs and abilities of the swimmers - Monitor swimmers' progress and provide feedback and encouragement - Organize and supervise swim meets, competitions, or other swimming events - Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate schedules and activities Requirements: - Previous experience as a swimming coach or instructor is preferred - Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, training methods, and safety practices - Excellent communication skills to effectively teach and motivate swimmers - Ability to work with individuals of all ages and skill levels - CPR and First Aid certification is required (or willingness to obtain) - Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects (such as pool equipment) It would be beneficial to be familiar with the following, or willing to be trained: TeamUnify/GoMotion website platform HyTek Meet Manager HyTek Team Manager Daktroniks Timing System USA Swimming Rules and Regulations OHSAA and NFHS Rules and Regulations The following will be required to obtain(if not already done so), upon hiring: *USA Coaches need:* background check (through USA Swimming portal) Athlete protection training concussion protocol training CPR/AED Safety Training for coaches in-water and online class (LG certification will satisfy cpr/aed and both safety training requirements) USADA Coach's advantage tutorial Everything but CPR can be taken through USA Swimming portal *Ohio High School Coaches need:* Pupil activity permit Fundamentals of Coaching CPR/AED First Aid for Coaches Concussion Training Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training Mental Health Training Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.
