QUALIFICATION:
Successful Ohio BCI and FBI background check.
Hold or attain a valid State of Ohio Pupil Activity Permit and meet other required certifications (i.
e.
CPR, AED).
Possess integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
Be a role model who utilizes positive and respectful coaching strategies.
Knowledge and expertise in volleyball.
Committed to the development of the program.
Demonstrate an emphasis on academic and athletic excellence for all students.
Have excellent communication skills with student-athletes, coaches, parents and administration.
Demonstrate the willingness to work with the administration, Athletic Director, teachers, staff, parents and families.
DUTIES:
Coordinate and supervise volleyball program and team.
Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Design training and game programs.
Organize and supervise the coaching staff to assure that the program is properly implemented.
Ensure that all athletic activities conform to OHSAA guidelines.
Work effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations to generate additional monies for the program.
Responsible for assisting the Athletic Director with game schedules, practice schedules and transportation.
Attend OHSAA rules meetings (in-person or online).
Develop team rules/expectations, enforcing and communicate them to players and their families.
Notify media final scores and newsworthy items to promote student accomplishments.
Ensure students complete all athletic forms on Final Forms.
Ensure hard copies of student physical forms are provided to the athletic office.
Be responsible for following district guidelines for purchasing items, maintaining a budget, inventory and maintenance of equipment.
Submit a complete roster to the athletic department two weeks prior to the season.
Ensure the supervision of student athletes at all times on the court, during conditioning and in locker facilities.
Ensure all health and safety precautions are observed during all activities.
Immediately report all major injuries incurred during practice sessions or competition to the Athletic Director and trainer.
Provide an end of the season recognition for the students to pass out varsity letters, certificates and trophies.
Adhere to other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director/designee.
Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren Board of Education.
SALARY: $2,139.
