Contract Hours: 5.
75 hours per day; number of days per academic year in accordance with the OAPSE negotiated agreement
Report Times: 10:00 am to 3:45 pm (report times may vary based on building schedule)
Salary: $14.
26 per hour Starting rate in accordance with the OAPSE negotiated agreement.
Reports To: Building Principals, Special Education Director, Superintendent and/or designee
Position available due to the resignation of Latoshia Miles
Program Specific Stipulations: This position will be working with a student(s) identified in the Autism Spectrum transition to classrooms outside of the Lighthouse Unit.
Due to the specific needs of the program student(s), a 20 day probation period will be implemented regardless of the same classification transfer; following the probationary period the program specific paraprofessional will not be permitted to transfer into any new position until a substitute or replacement is found in accordance the the negotiated agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities: (See Administrator for specific details of assignment)
Monitor student(s) individually, in small or large groups in a variety of circumstances relating to the school environment.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Provide leadership by enforcing pupil behavior set forth by the building principal.
Ensure the student(s) are in a safe, secure environment at all times.
Employ a variety of strategies to manage student behavior and conflict.
Assist in classroom management duties including small group instruction.
Must possess computer skills to assist the student(s) on the computer(s).
Lifting, stabilizing, and assisting student(s) in accordance with IEP, 504, or medical action plans.
Assist with special care of students such as toileting, personal hygiene, seizures, recess, and lunch.

All other duties consistent with the general job description as assigned by the Building Administrators, Superintendent, or designee.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE ON FILE BEFORE A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT CAN BEGIN WORK ARE:
Favorable State (BCII) and Federal (FBI) background checks
Current Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Endorsement
Negative drug screen result
Successful completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention CPI training or willingness to complete.
Employees must follow all board policies, all state, and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education.
