This beautiful filly is looking for someone new to love her.
NOVA
born May 6, 2021 - coming 3 year old.
and is currently over 15.
0 hands high and is gonna be a big girl.
Her mom is a registered Quarter Horse and her dad is a registered Paint Horse.
She can be registered as a Paint, She is a Dunolina
I will start her registration process.
This is a perfect filly.
She is as sweet as they come and is like a big puppy-dog.
She runs to greet in the pasture and follows like a dog.
She has no vices (she is still young, so will nibble the lead rope and chew on what she can).
She is halter broke and saddle/bridle broke but has not been ridden yet.
She will at the halter and lead:
tie
walk
jog
360 spin each direction
back up
neck rein each direction
direct rein with leads clipped to halter each direction
turns on forehand each direction
Side steps each direction.
She has been bathed and is fine.
She has been clipped.
She has had a body blanket on.
Nova has been harnessed and line driven - not hitched to a cart yet.
Nova has been saddled and bridled and has been extensively worked in a round pen and will walk, jog, trot, lope and canter and even gallop.
She doesn’t go on a lunge line well and prefers the round pen.
She stands great for the vet and the farrier.
She is up-to-date on shots and deworming and just had her feet trimmed.
Nova stalls and pastures and get along great with others.
Nove is going to be a super smooth ride and will be able to go in any direction.
She has been brought along slowly and has a ton of potential.
She is super smart and learns things after a few times of showing her what to do.
She has never been inside a trailer, so it may take a while to acclimate her to get her to load and I will not rush her.
She is very willing and trusting so it shouldn’t take long.
I am only selling her because I can no longer physically take care of her due to being in an accident and am in a neck brace.
they tell me I won’t be able to ride her for a year and that is not fair to her to let her sit for a year.
This is not something I want to do and yet I have no choice.
The people taking care of her can’t keep up with it.
*****NOVA has had a 6 panel genetic test done and she does test positive for PSSM 1 - therefore, she can have no grain or anything that breaks down in to sugar.
She has to have special low starch low sugar feed.
I purchase mine at Tractor Supply.
It is also best that she exercises every day.
Please google if you are unfamiliar with this genetic issue.
Since it is genetic, she could pass it to foals, so I don’t recommend her for breeding.
