The Salvation Army's Sharon Corps is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Thrift Store Clerk to join our team.
As a Thrift Store Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.
_*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*_
* Responsible for the cleanliness and clutter free look of the Family Store
* Accepting and processing donations – receipts, sorting, hanging and tagging
* Assist in checking out customers
* Opening and closing store
* Daily reconciliation of the cash register
* Accurate record keeping
* Any other duties assigned by Corps Officer
_*Additional Responsibilities:*_
* Employees of The Salvation Army are representatives to community and must conduct themselves in a professional manner while on duty.
_*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*_
* Cash register experience a plus
* Good math skills
* Continued knowledge of Salvation Army Thrift Store Manual
* Good Customer relations
* All three PA Clearances required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal date: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Request for Criminal Record, and Fingerprint based federal criminal history.
* PA Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation Army's KeepSAfe training required.
_*Education and Experience:*_
* High School Diploma
* Previous retail experience desired
