* *Comprehensive Job Description* *Job Title: Lawn Care Team Member* *Report To: Lawn Care Supervisor/External Contracts Manager* *JOB SUMMARY* We are looking for a lawn care team member to join Youngstown Area Goodwill’s growing lawn services division! This seasonal position will be responsible for completing a variety of lawn care and landscaping duties to maintain the properties of our clients.
This position will primarily cut grass using both zero-turn riding and push mowers, but will also be responsible for some edging, pruning, mulching and trimming.
This position must also: · Be willing to receive proper training and instruction.
· Mow grass using both riding (zero-turn) and push mowers.
· Trimming hedges and trees.
· Be comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment.
· Properly store and handle all equipment, tools and supplies.
· Rake and remove leaves and debris.
· Collaborate with team to complete the required tasks at each job site.
· Complete log sheets, time cards and proper documentation.
· Follow safe work practices, safety guidelines and regulations.
· Perform other related responsibilities as needed.
Although this is a seasonal position, it could lead to other year-round opportunities within the organization based on business need and if the candidate is interested and qualified.
Prior to the start of the lawn care season, interim employment opportunities may be available immediately.
As a seasonal role, the position does offer certain benefits, including paid-time-off of 40 hours, medical, dental, and vision at 30 days, and holiday after 90 days for full-time seasonal period.
*EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED* This is a hands-on position that requires attention to safety and detail.
This position will be part of a team, which requires skills in teamwork, time management and the ability to follow instructions.
Other requirements include: · Valid Driver’s License required · MVR Assessment · High school diploma preferred · Relevant experience preferred, but not required · Ability to drive pickup truck and lawn trailer a plus; CDL not required *HOURS WORKED* FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-time/Part-Time *NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED* Monday through Friday as scheduled.
Occasional weekend days possible, dependent on department needs.
*OVERTIME HOURS* Generally, overtime hours are not scheduled; however, overtime may be required based on the needs of the company.
