This position is for banquet and events coordination including customer service, event coverage, and a strong focus on *marketing and sales*.
Event Manager’s play a crucial role in planning and executing successful events.
This position requires well rounded, outgoing, and motivated individual with flexibility in working hours, as event coverage and setup may be required during the day, on weekends and overnight.
The weekly schedule will change from week to week.
Duties will include, but is not limited to, developing promotional materials and implementing marketing tactics, determining and meeting sales goals, being the chief contact for all customer inquiries and requests about the space(s), prospect tours, building and maintaining customer relationships, maintaining paperwork for each booking, revenue documentation, assisting with accounts receivable, coordinating event timelines and layouts and consulting with clients about other event details, placing tables and chairs according to layout specifications, table settings, ensuring equipment is on and working, light decoration, adjusting layouts to customer specifications, aiding caterers, decorators, and other event vendors as needed, ensuring that outside vendors and customers are able to use equipment correctly and safely, problem solving, removing tables and chairs, coordinating with linen and rental vendors in conjunction with Supervisor, scheduling and supervising cleaners, inventory tracking, reporting damages or missing items to Supervisor following an event, maintaining a clean and organized facility, office and supply space.
Event Managers work closely with the Site Supervisor to ensure events are organized and run smoothly.
For a complete position, Event Managers will help with set up and tear down of an event and some light custodial and maintenance work.
As such, the individual will need the ability to lift up to 50lbs, moving tables and chairs for event layouts.

*Physical Demands and Requirements:*
Must be able to physically perform the following duties for prolonged periods of time:
· Unassisted lifting up to 50 pounds-Bending-Walking-Kneeling
· Able to work on step ladders or extension ladders up to 30 feet
· Able to work in confined spaces, indoors and outdoors in all climates.
· Able to work occasional 12-14 hour days.

· Effectively communicate with customers, guests, visitors and staff
· Ensuring work is completed in a safe, prompt and professional manner, without damaging company property.
*Qualifications:*
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Basic proficiency of reading, writing and speaking the English language
· Minimum 5 years customer service experience
· Willingness to perform all required tasks
· Ability to professionally represent the company in appearance and conduct
· Maintain a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation
· Ability to work extended hours (including evenings & weekends)
· Have and maintain a criminal background check that is free of arrests and convictions
