JOB SUMMARY Develops, manages, and executes marketing and outreach campaigns for the agency.
Responsible for ensuring the agency’s external facing electronic and print marketing materials strengthen the agency’s brand amongst the community and attract new consumers, sponsors, donors, and partners.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
The ideal candidate has project management experience across related disciplines, including some combination of strategic communications, visual design, and data, as well as experience in professional print design, creating corporate presentations, and compiling annual reports.
This management position requires effective time-management skills and flexibility in work schedule to attend events occurring outside typical office hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Develops short- and long-term marketing and outreach plans for agency; with consideration given to department and program specific goals, with guidance from executive and upper management.
• Implements multi-pronged marketing campaigns within designated budget and in line with agency’s mission statement and identified goals.
• Analyzes effectiveness of marketing and outreach campaigns through evaluation of data driven performance indicators.
• Develops marketing plans to highlight employee morale and to attract qualified employees to the agency.
• Creates press releases and other formal agency announcements.
• Increases SportsNet viewership and local sponsorships opportunities.
Improved integration of SportsNet’s image with that of the agency.
• Designs digital and hard copy advertisements, brochures, and flyers for agency.
• Creates proofs and collaborates with vendors to order outreach items.
• Ensures continued relevancy in agency’s marketing and outreach plans through on-going market research and personal skill and technology development.
• Ensures agency’s various social media accounts are continuously monitored and moderated.
• Collaborates with outside agencies and entities to improve agency’s brand awareness.
• Works a flexible schedule to allow time to attend events and meetings occurring outside of typical business hours.
• Utilizes personal vehicle to travel between various agency facilities and to outreach events.
Agency reimburses all employees at the current Federal Mileage Reimbursement Rate.
• Attends meetings, conferences, events, and training sessions.
Must be able for pre-scheduled overnight travel up to several days at a time, up to several times per year.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises the Social Media Content Creator position.
QUALIFICATIONS Individual must have and maintain satisfactory; Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI-Fingerprinting Clearances.
Must have professional experience using Microsoft Office programs and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Professional Word Press experience preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Master's degree in related field with at least five (5) years’ related experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field from four-year College or University with seven (7) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, may be considered.
Professional experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring the success of business marketing strategies required.
Prior experience managing personnel required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to a prescribed style and format.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner in order to carry out essential job duties.
Preference may be given to bi-lingual, Spanish-speaking candidates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, averages, budgeting, and other statistics.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver’s License.
POSITION REQUIRES ACT 33, ACT 34 (Criminal History Clearance), and FBI Clearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment is characteristic of a typical office environment.
Constant interruptions to occur daily.
Employee must have the ability to focus throughout constant interruptions.
While working in the community, attending outside meetings or outreach events, the environment is typical of a public event.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position requires occasional day and overnight travel for the purpose of attending meetings, trainings, and conferences.
