Surety Bond Producer Job Summary: A Surety Bond Producer is a business professional, a lot of times also a licensed insurance agent, who specializes in surety bonds, products, and the surety market with knowledge in business strategy and underwriting.
The role of a surety bond producer is crucial for both the agency and the client.
The producer is tasked with management, maintenance and negotiating renewal terms for existing, assigned clients.
In addition, they will be tasked with soliciting and securing new clients to the agency.
Responsibilities: Assist in obtaining bonds including increasing overall program capacity.
Review and understanding of all financial documents when submitting bond applications or requests to markets.
Be the advisory and liaison between the client, surety agency, and insurance agency — giving business advice and management consulting, when necessary, in order to help in the growth of their company.
Ensure that the client’s business needs are met by the specific bonds requested and bond amounts are secured at competitive rates.
Nurture relationships with new clients after initial bond(s) have been written.
Review current, past, and future contracts or bids to assess risk for both the surety agency and the client.
Help guide clients through the entire bond process ensuring that no steps are missed and making it an easy and enjoyable process.
Will need to work closely with and at times assist department support staff.
Back-office support of account management team as needed.
Qualifications: 2+ years of Surety Bond experience, or 4+ years of experience reviewing financial statements General understanding of the financial industry and statements Strong customer service and communication skills Will be asked to use analytical, initiative and self-confidence skills to perform required job duties Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of Applied Epic a plus; willingness to learn proprietary software Property & Casualty license preferred Travel will be required for client meetings primarily throughout the tri-state area Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (Hybrid Work Schedule) Office Location: 3744 Starrs Centre Drive, Canfield, OH 44406 Benefits: Salary plus draw on commission Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Disability insurance 401(k) Paid time off Paid Holidays No Solicitation Notification to Agencies: Please note that Keystone Agency Partners and our Partner Agencies do not accept unsolicited resumes or calls from third-party recruiters or employment agencies.
