*Wheatland Tube*, a division of Zekelman, seeks an *Outside Sales Representative* to solicit business from distributors, develop customer relationships, provide field product training, and drive end market product specifications in the territory covering West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky.

*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Creates demand for existing and new products by calling on steel pipe distributors, fabricators, sprinkler and mechanical contractors, and engineering firms in their territory.
* Primary point of contact on new quotations, conducts regular follow-up, and tracks orders through the sales cycle.
* Gathers market intelligence and provides timely reporting of activities in the field.
* Regularly entertains and develops relationships with new and existing customers, acting as a subject matter expert on steel pipe and tube.
* Develops accurate sales forecasts by customer and product.
* Continuously evaluates territory performance against established objectives/metrics (sales volume forecast, number of new accounts, gross margins, etc.
) and takes appropriate action to profitably grow the business.
* Works closely with counterparts in inside sales to achieve territory sales goals.
* Professionally represents the Company at tradeshows and industry association events.
* Able to quickly diagnose and resolve potential quality claims.
Coordinates directly with the Quality Assurance Team by collecting and providing them with pertinent information.
* Recommends to the Company areas of future growth potential such as acquisitions, new products, and new markets.
* Responsible for special projects as assigned.
* Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.
* Regular, full-time, onsite and offsite attendance is an essential function of this role.

*REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:*
* Vehicle and air travel at least 60% of working days, both day trips and overnight.
* 1- 2 years of outside sales experience is preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of the steel pipe industry, with a curiosity to constantly learn more about the business.
* Driven, articulate, energetic, personable, accountable, and a team player.
* Self-starter with the ability to work remotely in a dedicated workspace.
* Must have excellent sales and communication skills – both verbal and written
* Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
