Backyard Buddy is looking for a fulltime Second Shift Production Supervisor for their manufacturing facility.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the operations team to a successful completion of all manufacturing goals and objectives by being visible, knowledgeable, and decisive when direction is needed.
It is necessary to be forward thinking, able to identify potential issues and addressing them before production is impacted.
*Role and Responsibilities*
* Coordinates daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to supply, and personnel.
* Delegates individual responsibilities and projects to employees.
* Emphasizes safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment to include enforcing safety gear, helmets, and procedures when applicable.
* Resolves conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
* Regularly reports production status to staff and management.
* Oversees shop employees’ performance, provides guidance, supports, and identifies development needs.
* Supervises daily operations to detect and address factors that could impede operations.
* Provides manager with constructive feedback on supervised employees’ performance.
* Implements strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
* Ensures that all equipment and machinery are properly operating and maintained.
* Leads by example with wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by Company and OSHA standards.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
*Qualifications*
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
* Strong leadership abilities.
* Experience in using several types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
* Understanding of production procedures and work optimization techniques.
* Exceptional knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures.
* Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Good time management and critical thinking skills.
* Flexible with working long hours and overtime, as needed.
* Physical ability to lift and move product components of assorted sizes, shapes, and weights (made from steel) through the production line process.
Average weight 50 pounds.
* The ability to work in varying climates as our manufacturing floor is not climate controlled.
This means the interior temperature fluctuates throughout the year based on outside temperatures.
