*Summary: * As a Tool and Die Engineer you will play a crucial role in our organization, especially in metalworking and precision machining.
The primary responsibility of this role is to design, create, and maintain the tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the production process.
These tools are essential for shaping, cutting, and forming materials into the desired shapes and dimensions.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following*: *1.
Tool and Die Design:* * Develop and design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
* Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed and accurate blueprints for manufacturing.

Material Selection:* * Choose appropriate materials for tools and dies based on factors such as hardness, wear resistance, and durability.
* Consider the material properties of the workpieces being processed.

Precision Machining:* * Utilize machining tools and equipment to produce precision components for tools and dies.
* Ensure that the finished products meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
*4.
Tool and Die Maintenance:* * Regularly inspect, repair, and maintain existing tools and dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
* Troubleshoot and address issues related to tool and die wear or damage.
*5.
Collaboration:* * Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to understand their needs and challenges.
* Collaborate with other engineers, machinists, and technicians to optimize tooling processes.

Continuous Improvement:* * Identify opportunities for process improvement in tool and die design, manufacturing, and maintenance.

*Qualification Requirements/Education and Experience: * *Education:* * A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is often required.
Some employers may accept a degree in a closely related field with relevant coursework.
*Technical Skills* * Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, is crucial for creating detailed blueprints and designs.
* Strong knowledge of precision machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining).
