Responsibilities:
- Oversee the estimating department and manage a team of estimators
-Oversee Foreman and crew leaders
- Provide excact equipment and material lists per job specification
- Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project requirements
- Prepare detailed construction estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate project budgets
- Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best value for the company
- Analyze and evaluate bids received from subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare and submit proposals to clients, including detailed cost breakdowns
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make necessary adjustments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management (Concrete industry experience)
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
