*\*\*A VALID CLASS B CDL WITH TANKER ENDORSEMENT IS REQUIRED\*\** *SUMMARY: *Under direct supervision, performs sewer line inspection, flushing and repairs.
Assist the Sewer Line Maintenance Crew Leader or TV Inspector/Grouting Technician in general work performance.
Serves as Crew leader in the Crew leader's absence.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following.
Other related duties may be assigned.
60% Performs maintenance of sewer lines (e.
g.
, complaints, repairs, replaces, checks pressure lines for leaks, etc.
); removes blockages from lines (e.
g.
, operation of flushing truck, rooter and related equipment); oversees emergency repairs; keeps time and work records.
Responsible for the implementation of safety practices and procedures.
30% Assist TV crew in the set up and televising of sewer lines.
Operates light motorized equipment and hauls material and equipment to and from work site.
Repairs and maintains equipment, cleanliness in work areas, and spot checks jobs for completeness of service.
10% Assists in the location and raising of sanitary sewer manholes.
Assist in the making of utility spots.
*QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: *High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be knowledgeable in toxic and explosive nature of sanitary sewage systems.
Must be able to demonstrate skill in operating heavy motorized equipment.
*LANGUAGE SKILLS: *Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on one situations to supervisors and to other employees of the organization.
*MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: *Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
*REASONING ABILITY: *Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
*CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS*: Must possess a State of Ohio Class B Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement.
*OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: *Must understand a wide variety of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic processes and be able to troubleshoot same if required.
