NVR Manufacturing is looking for an Automation and Controls Technician to join the team, in our Darlington, PA plant.
As a member of the Maintenance team, you will support and maintain computer controlled systems and robotic devices used within the manufacturing facility to reduce human intervention and to maximize efficiency.
You will perform automated equipment maintenance and proactively troubleshoot and analyze system failures and drive solutions aimed at root causes.
While a specialist in computer-controlled and robotic devices, you will also be accountable to perform general equipment and facility repair and maintenance.
Work is performed under general supervision and is subject to review by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
Day Shift 6:00AM-2:30PM (Mon-Fri)
Starting pay $33.
65 and higher based on experience.
Primary Responsibilities Automation and Controls Technician
Work independently to inspect and maintain machinery and equipment in a manufacturing plant environment, including computer-controlled and robotic equipment.
Perform installation, rehabilitation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment, ensuring that work is completed on time and that documentation such as system layouts, drawings, and schematics is maintained and up to date.
Support the implementation of new automation and software systems as required to ensure equipment is in safe working order and producing quality product.
Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert for equipment, obtaining equipment-specific maintenance certification as required; and provide technical direction regarding system design and alterations.
Perform diagnostic activities, troubleshoot programming and system faults for plant's PLCs, HMIs, automated systems and sensors; replace defective components, execute calibration, and support programming updates.
Review and analyze operational data to identify and resolve performance issues.
Assist in the planning, development, and installation of facility upgrades and repairs.
Perform industrial maintenance activities as required, both as planned & scheduled preventative maintenance and as emergent/ad hoc production line support, troubleshooting, and repair.
May occasionally be asked to perform "on-call" responsibilities, and/or potential travel to other plants to support automation activities.
Provide training and guidance to other Maintenance Technicians.
Qualifications
5 years’ experience as an industrial/facility maintenance technician
2+ years’ experience performing industrial automation and controls maintenance
Experienced in maintenance planning
Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics
Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, more details available upon interview
Will be required to demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge
