Systems Integration Engineer FSLA Status: Exempt Location: Lordstown, OH Shift: First Primary Function: As a key member of the Systems Integration team you will lead electrical/powertrain systems integration and end of line/diagnostics testing for EV vehicle systems.
In addition, you will lead the implementation of software/hardware tool development, body/chassis modules and OTA development.
You will also lead the calibration, flashing, diagnostics and development team to support production to achieve 100% FTT and flow.
Duties and Responsibilities: Support and manage modules flash, configure, and set up testing and troubleshooting.
Support and manage the debug of body/chassis module software and OTA updates.
Support and manage development of test specifications, system integration and testing.
Interface with customers and product engineering to identify electrical/powertrain systems requirement of EV.
Support product engineering defined system architecture and specified components to meet requirements for different vehicles across platforms.
Interface with external customers/suppliers on DFMEA, DRM, Systems Engineering, APQP, etc.
Collaborate with and support product/planning engineering on torque/energy management, thermal management, functional safety, EOL diagnostics.
Provide coaching, counselling, and mentoring to operations team on a real time basis for continuous improvement.
Required Education Bachelor’s Degree (B.
S.
) in Electrical Engineering or similar degree from an accredited college or university required.
Required Experience A minimum five to seven years of experience in electrical/manufacturing field required.
Previous OEM and automotive systems in hybrid and/or electric vehicles experience is preferred Experience and working knowledge of systems development, vehicle architecture, battery technologies, software/hardware tool development, motor calibration technologies, OBD calibration, functional safety, and network and diagnostics process.
Knowledge in ADAS, powertrain and safety systems.
Requires Skills/Licenses/Certifications Speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers, or employees of the organization.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
).
Proficiency in engineering computer skills (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar).
Industrial or manufacturing process experience Software development and control algorithm Electric components used in hardware Integrate software with vehicle controller through high voltages benches Develop and track supplier and OEM validation and verification plans Vehicle calibration development Track and troubleshoot issues and test systems Proficient in industry standard calibration and data collection tools.
