You will be the face of a very reputable organization as you travel to customer owned facilities to inspect, repair, upgrade and maintain their equipment, primarily overhead crane systems.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform various types of welds in various positions utilizing SMAW (stick) welding.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems on overhead cranes and related equipment.
Work as a team with other technicians and project engineers to perform major installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Perform maintenance and repairs on overhead crane and related equipment at customer facilities.
Identify needed parts, repair procedures, communicate with the customer, interface with our engineering department, and perform the repair.
You will be trained to perform documented safety inspections of specific types of equipment in keeping with OSHA guidelines.
Remain compliant with AWS D1.
1 requirements.
Qualifications:
Qualified welder in accordance with AWS D1.
1 (or capable of becoming qualified).
Good with tablets; Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of industrial plant equipment and operating functions.
Read mechanical and structural prints.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interface with customers.
Strong teamwork skills.
Must be willing to work at heights.
Attention to detail.
Is willing and able to travel to client locations.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Ability to work at customer facilities including the extreme elements indoor and outdoor.
Eligible to work various shifts.
Ability to work at heights.
