Under the direct supervision of the Redi Shape Divisional Manager, Production Associates may be responsible for loading unloading and packaging brick shapes for shipment, operating and tending to the furnace kiln to ensure quality material produced, assembling and stripping casting molds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Read and interpret work orders and instructions to determine work assignments, process specifications, and production schedules.
Press and adjust controls to activate, set, and regulate equipment according to specifications.
Confer with supervisors or other equipment operators to report equipment malfunctions or to resolve production problems.
Formulates a loading plan to palletize brick shapes to ensure they do not break during shipping.
Breakdown and assemble molds.
Transport materials and products to and from work areas, manually or using carts, or forklifts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires education generally equivalent to High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to read and program front loading furnace.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Ability to operate and pass forklift licensure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years construction laborer experience.
Proficient computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, or similar products).
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing plant environment that is not temperature controlled.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Exposed to furnaces that heat in excess of 2,000o The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequently required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, carrying and moving parts, materials, and product.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
