Position Description: The Material Handler / Mobile Equipment Associate is responsible for the first step in the cell manufacturing process by ensuring all materials are supplied to the production line.
By using mobile equipment, machinery, computers, and scanners, the material handler / mobile equipment associate plays an imperative role in the production of a world-class product.
The Associate will also be responsible for all aspects of the shipping and receiving department.
Upon an employment offer, Ultium Cells will provide training to all incoming team members.
As an introductory role, candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of their level of expertise.

Job Responsibilities: Demonstrate / preserve workplace safety, including, but not limited to handling hazardous materials, equipment, and other general workplace requirements.
Demonstrate the ability to learn / utilize computer software and RFID scanning devices, for recording inventory input and output using first in, first out business practices (FIFO).
Learn and follow shipping and receiving processes in an effort to ensure organizational flow and product integrity.
Demonstrate the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Occasionally, work at heights above 20 feet.
Demonstrate and develop an understanding / ability to use Human Machine Interface (HMI) to monitor / respond to calls from Production as raw materials are requested.
Pushing and pulling carts in excess of 100 lbs.
Individually / team-lifting up to 50 lbs.
, occasionally more.
Inspect product before delivery for non-conforming or defective material.
Operate mobile equipment including fork trucks, tuggers, manual pendent controls, conveyor, hand-jack and other equipment as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to adapt to unique situations as the need arises.
Working outside on a rotational basis in all conditions.
Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
Labeling every product and placing items accordingly.
Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory.
Handling returns by completing appropriate documentation and other required communication.
Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting equipment safety inspections and following operator protocol.
Keeping the work area clean and free of debris.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies: Exhibit an understanding of metric weights and measures.
Demonstrate basic math and reading comprehension.
Ability to pass mobile equipment training and demonstrate safe driving practices.
Willingness to drive mobile equipment and pass employer-based equipment training to ensure safety of all team members.
Easily demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, decision making and troubleshooting.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and electronic communication skills.
Experience operating fork lift / mobile equipment (complimentary, but not required).
Basic experience and familiarity with computers and digital equipment including, but not limited to Microsoft Office.
Adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
Process improvement mindset.
Knowledge of inventory control.
Following safety protocol through use of PPE in select environments including, but not limited to clean room gown, mask, bouffant cap, safety glasses, hard hat, and protective, substantial footwear.
