What You Get To Do: Change the lives of those in your care! The Manager, Computer Services manages the secure, productive, and effective use of technology in the facility.
Provides hardware and software technical support to users of personal computers and associated equipment.
Coordinates technology services, maintenance, and training throughout the facility.
Coordinates technical and computer-related issues with contracting partner and FSC Technology Department.
Ensures information technology resources (computer hardware, network and operating systems software and telecommunications hardware) function properly and are maintained in good operating condition.
Ensures partner agency data backups, networks, and printers function properly and meet the necessary requirements.
Provides hardware and software technical support to users of personal computers and associated equipment.
Provides technical support to data communications users, phone companies and equipment vendors.
Performs diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on personal computers and related equipment.
Equipment includes, but is not limited to, LAN and WAN equipment, PC's, laptops, telecom equipment, key control devices, various software and peripherals.
Analyzes the need for new computer equipment; analyzes equipment for quality, compatibility, reliability and suitability to the institution’s needs.
Provides configuration requirements for new computer acquisitions, recommends methods of using existing equipment to satisfy new requirements and performs benchmark tests of proposed new equipment.
Ensures compliance with licensing agreements.
Trains facility management and staff in using computer programs.
Provides assistance with a wide variety of commercial and agency developed software.
Works with the Technology Department to improve the efficiency of operations by providing solutions to routine functions, in accordance with FSC Technology Department approval.
Maintains existing PCs and peripherals in accordance with company standards; performs upgrades, new installations and preventive maintenance.
Responsible for the installation and configuration of operating systems and software in accordance with company standards.
Compiles, prepares and accurately maintains a variety of standard operating records and reports, including those required by management, contracting agency and/or government regulations.
Reviews reports and records produced by staff; properly process all reports and documents in a timely manner.
Assists in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software.
Provides and maintains hardware and software access requirements for computer users/administrators.
Reports hardware faults to third party companies, returns hardware for repair if necessary, and ensures any deficiencies are resolved.
Consults with FSC Technology Department and escalates support requests or issues, as necessary.

Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Computer Science or related technology field is required.
Five years of experience in computer troubleshooting with two years in desktop support is required.
Additional years of related work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Must have experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7, 8.
1 and 10, Microsoft Office Suite and technology hardware including computer, printers and scanners.
Must be able to maintain and troubleshoot a basic network infrastructure.
A+ and N+ certification is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
A valid driver's license is required.
